Standard polystyrene petri dishes for bacteriological laboratory applications. Available in 35, 60, 90, 100, and 150 mm formats, these dishes are manufactured from high-grade polystyrene with exceptional optical clarity for direct microscopic analysis and heat resistance for use with hot agar pours without deformation.
Petri dishes are among the most important consumables in bacteriological laboratories — used for culture isolation, colony counting, microbial identification, and a wide range of microbiological assays. The external grip on the lid and base allows secure, stable handling while wearing standard lab gloves, reducing contamination risk during transfer and incubation.
Supplied non-sterile and sleeve-packed for high-throughput laboratory use. UV sterilization or gamma irradiation may be used for sterilization prior to use if required.
- Five size formats — 35, 60, 90, 100, and 150 mm to match culture scale from small-volume isolations to large-surface colony spreading
- Exceptional optical clarity — high-grade polystyrene construction for clear, distortion-free microscopic observation of colonies and culture morphology
- Heat resistant — withstands hot agar pours without deformation or warping for reliable culture preparation
- External grip design — textured external grip on lid and base for secure, stable handling with standard lab gloves
- Solid lid — provides a secure, stable closure during incubation and storage
- Sleeve-packed — convenient sleeve format for bench access and efficient storage
- Non-sterile — supplied non-sterile; sterilize by UV or gamma irradiation prior to use if required
- High-grade polystyrene resin — consistent quality for reproducible microbiological results
- DNase/RNase, Human DNA, ATP, and Pyrogen-free — certified for sensitive microbiological applications
