Product Description
Fibroblast Growth Medium is a low-serum (0.5%) medium system optimized for the in vitro cultivation of neonatal and juvenile fibroblasts. It is optimized for primary human cells but also works for bovine, porcine, and rat fibroblasts, as well as fibroblast cell lines.
Recommended For: Normal Human Dermal Fibroblasts (NHDF), juvenile foreskin, and primary human fibroblasts from other tissues.
Composition: Contains essential and non-essential amino acids, vitamins, organic and inorganic compounds, hormones, growth factors, and trace minerals. Exact composition is proprietary and not disclosed by the manufacturer beyond this category list; no antibiotics or antimycotics are included.
The system is modular: order the Basal Medium alone (standard or phenol red-free) and add supplements yourself with the SupplementPack, or order the Kit for both components together. The SupplementPack's 25 mL of supplement is not a standalone product — the entire pack is added into one 500 mL bottle of Basal Medium to make the complete medium.
